May in Canada is Foot Health Month. The Ontario Society of Chiropodists invests in this month to increase public education and awareness about foot health and the chiropody industry. With spring here and summer on its way, it’s the perfect month for us to take time to focus on our foot health and address any issues that we’ve been avoiding or haven’t noticed.
Visiting a chiropodist is a great first step for your foot health and in loving your feet. What will you do this month to show your feet you care?
Foot Conditions
If you’re experiencing any type of foot pain or discomfort, now is the time to visit a chiropodist. Don’t delay making an appointment before your symptoms or conditions progress. Many foot conditions can be easily treated in as little as one appointment with your chiropodist.
Common foot conditions that should be examined by a chiropodist include:
- Bunions
- Ingrown toenails
- Heel or Arch Pain (Plantar Fasciitis)
- Warts
- Corns and Calluses
- Flat Feet
- Hammertoes
- Athlete’s Foot
- Nail Fungus
- Diabetic Feet
If you have experienced or are currently experiencing any of these conditions, or just general foot or toe pain, visit your chiropodist!
